How Bad Do You Want It?!

Nobody can want it for you, you have to want it for yourself!


Is there something in your life that you would really like to achieve?  You have to want it for yourself and you have to work hard for it.  You can have the best personal trainer and nutritionist in the entire world, but in the end it comes down to one thing and one thing only. . .YOU!!

Figure you what drives you, what motivates you to keep on pushing forward.  You HAVE to have the desire to change and better yourself.  Use that drive and desire to motivate you to work as hard as possible and accomplish your goals.  Everyone has their “best” body and can achieve it with the right amount of dedication.  However, not everyone has the willpower to do it!


The first thing you have to do is write down your goal.  By writing down your goals, you are 50% more likely to accomplish them.  The next step is creating a game plan.  Write down in small steps how you are going to accomplish this goal.  Remember that your game plan can’t just have 2-3 steps, you have to cut yourself some slack.  Wouldn’t it be great if we could all just set a goal, snap our fingers, and be at the finish line?  Unfortunately life doesn’t work like that.  Any new goal is going to take time.  There will be ups and downs just like on a roller coaster, but it is important to keep your eye on the prize.

You will be so happy when you reach one of your first small goals, that it will motivate you to keep going!  Celebrate, treat yourself to something!  Allow yourself to feel good about the small steps that you have accomplished.  Don’t reward yourself with food, you are NOT a new puppy!  Go out and purchase the new exercise DVD that you wanted, a cute new outfit to exercise in or bright new sneakers (I personally am much more motivated to work out when I have a color coordinated adorable workout outfit on with incredibly bright sneakers, it just makes me happy & makes me want to move!).  Treat yourself to whatever makes you feel good about yourself without sabotaging your end result.

It is extremely important to surround yourself with positive people who SUPPORT YOU!  There is nothing worse than trying to change your lifestyle and having people around who are bashing what you are trying to accomplish or who are constantly trying to tempt you with unhealthy food and activities.  You don’t have to cut these people out of your life entirely, but keep your distance between the negative people.  Find people who support what you are doing and spend more quality time with them.  This will help you achieve your goals 10x faster!

You also want to research your goal and how to get there.  Spend time on the internet with groups and forums that have common interests.  If you have people going through the exact same things that you are, it will be easier for you to handle.  You will know that you are not alone!  Make sure to share your questions and feelings in the groups because people want to help you!  Don’t be afraid, don’t think that it is a stupid question!  Everyone starts somewhere and chances are that these people have had the same questions in the past or experiencing the same thing now.

The best part, share your victories with others.  There is nothing better than getting kudos and congratulations from your friends and family for reaching your goal.  We are all pulling for you and can’t wait to see what you have accomplished!  You can do anything in the world if you want it badly enough, so make the decision to COMMIT, write down your goal and GET BUSY GIRL!
